Basma Bader
Multidisciplinary Artist
Basma Bader (b.1995, Palestine) is a multidisciplinary artist, lives and works in Haifa. She received a BA in Fain arts from University of Haifa (2018). Her work experience includes being an art guide at Hecht Museum in Haifa and building an education's program for the Arab population of the 48th at The Museum of Beit HaGefen in Haifa. She participated in the artist project Here and Now in Haifa. She was awarded the Young Artist Hecht Museum Prize (2017), the Outstanding Student Award of Art School University of Haifa (2019). Solo exhibitions and site specific works include: Hothouse, Bordel Gallery, Haifa (2018), Curator and performance of the Light Warriors, University of Haifa (2018), Genesis, public sphere, Hurfaish village (2019). Group exhibitions include: Interchange, Alfred Art & Culture Institute, Tel Aviv (2019), To Fall In Love With The Disease, RadioArt of Haifa University, Soundcloud (2018), Sequence, LGBTQ Center, Tel Aviv (2019), No One Will Know You, Musawa Center, Haifa (2018), Snake, The Refrigerator, Tel Aviv (2019), Legs Tel Aviv, Nulubaz Gallery, Tel Aviv (2018), Object Life, Grand Gallery of Contemporary Art, Haifa (2019), among others.
Recently, a short documentary film about her story called Space was screened at the Docaviv Festival (2019).
Yara Sha'ban
Multidisciplinary Artist
Yara Sha'ban (born 1993) from Kfar Tur'an, a multidisciplinary artist, lives and works in Haifa. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Haifa University (2019). Single exhibitions and site-specific works include: Presenting a sculpture at the University of Haifa- The Artist's Residence, Beit Netofa Valley (2018), curating and exhibiting performance following the violence against women, University of Haifa (2018) with the participation of students from the Music Department. Exhibited video work in a group exhibition at Beit Hagefen Gallery "You Universe" (2019). Presented in a joint exhibition with art scholars last year in the library building of Beit Hagefen Work and Hands "You Universe" (2019), presented Seat Space Work, Guerrilla Gardening (2019), presented "Untitled 2019" sculptural work, University of Haifa (2019). Participated in Art Performance, a work by fashion designer "Ayman Dao" in the fashion spirit at the opening of the Al Ain Gallery in Haifa (2019). Participated in performance work by artist "Yara Mahajana" (2017), participated in the festival "Under the Lantern 2018" and "Under the Lantern 2019", Givat Haviva. She participated in a performance work by artist "Sahar Tafish" in a group exhibition in Beit Hagefen (2019).Recently, a short documentary film about her story called Space was screened at the Docaviv Festival (2019).
